For propagation and maintenance of E.Coli:
Heat and stir until capsule is completely dissolved.
Buffer is set for 7.2 at 20°C using a 10mM solution of TRIS/TRIS HCl
Sterilize by autoclaving for 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
Research Products International Corp YPD Agar, 1 Gram Capsules, 1 Kilogram
Mix 65 capsules in one liter distilled water until evenly dispersed. Heat with repeated stirring and boil for one minute to dissolve completely. Distribute and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes.

EE Broth (Mossel), also known as Enterobacteriaceae Enrichment Broth, is a selective enrichment medium used for the detection and recovery of Enterobacteriaceae from food, water, pharmaceutical, and environmental samples. Developed according to Mossel’s formulation, the medium promotes the growth of sub lethally injured Enterobacteriaceae while suppressing many competing microorganisms. The formulation contains glucose, bile salts, brilliant green dye, and phosphate buffers that create a selective environment favoring the recovery of Enterobacteriaceae while inhibiting Gram positive bacteria and many non target Gram negative organisms. This broth is commonly used as a pre enrichment step prior to selective plating or biochemical confirmation tests.
